Vroya’s Review
Tropicabana is a great match three game and more. Not only do you have the classic match three, but you also have a few decent little mini-games as well. Slots, Roulette, and BlackJack. These mini games are great for getting that little extra cash needed for upgrades (if you win that is).
The music and sound effects in the main game are great. I even caught myself dancing in my chair during gameplay a couple times. After a while it can get just a tad repetitive, but you can always turn it down. In the casino though, especially the slot machine, you might want to turn the volume down a bit before you get any kind of jackpot.
Gameplay keeps you on your toes. You don’t have to wait for all the pieces to finish falling before you make your next move - in fact, you don’t want to. the more matches you make simultaneously, or really close together, the more the “audience” likes it - and that turns into more money - which you use to “hire” band members, promote your guy, and decorate your stage - which in turn gives you more money and power-ups. Keep an eye out for mice too - when they show up randomly, ya gotta shoot them before they undo your progress - plus the audience loves it when you shoot them.
All in all - a really fun match 3 game - trust me - the first hour will be gone much too soon.
