The Nightshift Code is a hidden object game that’ll have you scratching your head deep into the wee hours of the morning. With a choice between classic play that let’s you bypass the story and jump right into a puzzling seek and find session, or immersing yourself in a deep detailed storyline, it’s sure to please almost any hidden object game lover.

The Nightshift Code truly tries to stump even the most seasoned puzzle player. While searching in the first session, I was truly stumped until I realized that just because you found one object with a certain tag, it didn’t mean that the next was going to follow the same formula. For example, I had to search for 3 rabbit ears. Well the first was easy, I found the old fashioned TV antenna fairly quickly. The other two eluded me. I even had to use up one of my hints to find them. Don’t laugh – but they were both attached to the rabbit that was staring me in the face the whole time. Looking for 3 queens was the same thing – 1 chess piece, 1 playing card, and 1 picture of Cleopatra. You can’t rely on any given formula, you really have to think about each and every objct that you’re looking for.

If that isn’t enough to convince you, the minigames are great logic puzzers. From cryptograms using objects for words, to basic jigsaw puzzles – it’s got something for everyone.

Final Verdict: The Nightshift Code is a game every puzzle / hidden object game lover should at least try out. With no price tag attached to this game, it’s a win/win for everyone.
