Vroya’s Review

Well, I’m not sure how to rate Sunshine Acres. Basically it’s your standard, everyday farming time management game. You have to plant your crop, till around it, water, fertilize, harvest, process, and ship your crops until you meet your daily goal.

That said, there was only one thing about this game that impressed me – weather. When it rains, you don’t have to water your crops as much, and you get more to harvest from each planting.

The storyline – none. No story to follow, no plot, no reason for farming except the “joy” of farming. Having once lived on a working farm, I’ll let ya in on a little secret – most of the time, there is no “joy of farming”.

Graphics and audio are OK – nothing to write home about.

Final Verdict: Right now there are several farming time management games that seriously out rate and out perform Sunshine Acres. I’d recommend Farm Frenzy or Dairy Dash first. But for those of you that want to try it out for yourself, or if you just want a farming sim without the burden of a storyline, go ahead and download and play for an hour – it’s free for that long. When you come to see my point, you can always toss it and not owe a dime.
