Poor Mr. Rabbit is eager to hear a heart-warming story. In the brunt of winter, the soul-starved hare reaches for a storybook, only to see it topple over from the high shelf. Words and fairytales have fallen around him, and suddenly he`s locked inside an isolated world. Help Mr. Rabbit piece together letters while dodging words that create evil spells. The original words return to the book and tell his beloved Christmas story for everyone to behold in Jabber.

It’s sometimes a refreshing change to be able to review a nice clean fun game. Jabber is a cute word game that word lover’s of all ages will simply adore.
Jabber opens up with a book-wormish little rabbit that simply wants to read his favorite story, and ends up falling off a ladder and dropping the book – spilling it’s letters and stories all over. His mission in life now is to recollect all those missing words so he can read his favorite book. The sound effects in the opening sequence are hilarious, and are guaranteed to get a chuckle out of just about anyone.
You have the option of skipping the tutorial in the beginning, and playing one of two modes, arcade or classic. In the classic mode you unlock fairy tales as you progress, so you can read the stories that you’ve helped Mr. Rabbit collect. They’re really cute, and each “chapter” leaves you hanging just enough that you’ll want to complete the next level just so you can continue the story. Arcade mode is just pure word searches, without the storyline.
The background music is upbeat and fun, but as with most casual games, you might get tired of hearing the same tune repeated over and again.
Gameplay is really simple, just click on the first letter of a word that you see, and drag your mouse over the following letters in order. If it’s a word in the games data, it’ll accept it, if not, you’ll have to start over either with a new word, or with better spelling.
Final Verdict: Jabber is an awesome word game for school kids, and their parents (my wife absolutely adores this game). While the teaser speaks of it being a Christmas story, it’s still very suitable for any time of year. If you are “into” word games, help out Mr. Rabbit, and discover his favorite story for yourself. Enjoy!
